Fall Rugby has started!

Fall Rugby started in a big way yesterday with many teams from the Portland Metro (and some slightly farther away) congregating at Glenhaven Park in Portland. Firstly, Chinook Rugby had a large contingent of girls playing with Girls Rugby. This is an organization devoted to introducing rugby to younger girls in a fun and less competitive manner. Nike Rugby Summer Camp

The yearly Nike Rugby Camp took place in Corvallis between Sunday August 4th and Wednesday August 8th. On early Sunday afternoon, the kids registered and found out who their room-mates would be. They were staying in the College Dorms with one wing being for the Boys and another wing being for the girls. Girls Rugby Summer Camp is being held in Vancouver this week, and a number of girls from Chinook Rugby have been participating. 2019 Fall Rugby – Girls Rugby and Boys Fall 7’s

Rugby Oregon and Girls Rugby Oregon will be hosting a fall series again this year.   Girls Rugby – Fall Leagues (Grades 2-8) Girls in Grades 2-8 (1st Graders on a case by case basis) can play rugby in a non-contact, non-competitive environment, while honing their existing skills or learning afresh. Hockinson Fun Days Parade

Last Saturday we unveiled our new banner in the Hockinson Fun Days Parade. Despite many of the Hockinson players being conflicted between marching with Band or Rugby, we had a number of the Hockinson Players marching, plus many players from other areas of Chinook Rugby taking part in the parade. Boys 7th / 8th Grade Season Recap

The Rebels had a very positive season this year, after having a very heavy 7th grade presence. Many of the kids were playing tackle Rugby for the first time.
